Barbara of Sew and Sew Forth was inspired by her grandmother who would see an outfit in a magazine and then make it for herself. Not only could could she recreate an outfit, but she would also make a hat to match! Barbara began sewing in her teen years and by the time she was an adult she would make her own business clothes. When she became a mother she would also make matching outfits for her and her daughters!
These days most of her sewing is for a significantly shorter clientele. Barbara spends her time sewing delightful and creative American Girl 18 inch doll clothes plus clothing for 14.5 inch Wellie Wishers. Outfits include coats, dresses (both every day and fancy), slacks, shorts, pajamas, robes, ballerina and other costumes, jackets, shirts etc. Currently, the most popular pieces range from fancy dress up clothes to the every day jeans and tops.
Barbara also welcomes special requests, and customers often give suggestions on outfits to make, which she enjoys.
