Small Farm Making Chèvre and Assorted Cow Cheeses

Beginning 8 years ago in Boonsboro, Maryland, Suzanne Lucas's family decided to share all of the products of their Faerie Springs Farm with the farmers market community, and supporters of small local agriculture. It was around 2011 that Faerie Springs Farm joined the Middletown Farmers Market and introduced us all to the awesomeness of Swiss Chard.  After a few years away from the market, they are returning this year to introduce us all to their artisinal handmade goat and cow cheeses. They also produce a few balms and lotions, herb plants, and vegetables on their farm, the bounty of which may also make it to the market.

When the market opens on May 2, you can expect to find plain and flavored Chèvre (a soft cheese made of goat milk) and cow milk mozzarella, along with spring medicinal balms, and some early herbs.

The Middletown Farmers' Market continues to share profiles of our current vendors so that we all have the chance to get to know each other, and what quality products will be offered at the market this season.
